Identification Characteristics: Flat fish, green/brown on the side with eyes, white on the other side

Taste: White meat, extremely mild taste

Silver Salmon (Coho)

Average weight: 3.5 - 5 pounds

Average length: 24 - 30 inches

Identification Characteristics: White gums. Bright silver with small black spots on the back and on the upper lobe of the fin.

Run time: Late July - September

Taste: Bright red meat, high oil content, medium fish taste

Pink Salmon (Humpy)

Average weight: 3.5 - 5 pounds

Average length: 20 - 25 inches

Identification Characteristics: Adults are green/blue with silvery sides and develop black spots as they prepare to move upriver to spawn. As males begin to turn they develop large humps on their backs (hence the name). Their scales are very small compared to other salmon.

Run time: Late June - August

Taste: Mild fish taste, light pink meat

King Salmon (Chinook)

Identification Characteristics: Black gums. Bluish green/dark gray skin, black irregular spotting on the back and dorsal fins
